UPDATE: Missing Woman Found Safe

The family of Carmen Chapman reported her missing Wednesday morning.

7/1 UPDATE: A woman who went missing Wednesday has been found safe, offiicials reported Friday.

Carmen Chapman, 41, was located in the City of Riverside near the Galleria at Tyler, according to police.

She was disoriented, but overall in good health. She was transported by paramedics to a local hospital for observation and treatment.

7/1 ORIGINAL POST: Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a 41-year-old woman described as schizophrenic.

The family of Carmen Chapman reported her missing Wednesday morning in the 21500 block of Ellis Avenue in Perris and authorities have yet to track her down. She suffers from depression and was not on her medications at the time of her disappearance, sheriff's Sgt. Todd Pauling said.

Chapman is a Latina, 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. She has long brown hair, brown eyes and a mole under her left eye. Family members said she was wearing a black and white dress and purple sandals when they last saw her, Pauling said.

Chapman is thought to be driving a white 2008 Scion XB four-door with a California license plate number 6AGZ081.

Pauling said Carmen has been known to frequent the Moreno Valley. --City News Service
