Police Seek Witnesses in Crash That Sent Car Down Bundy Canyon

The weekend collision left a driver hospitalized with major injuries, sheriff's officials report.

A motorist veered off a Wildomar roadway and barreled down into a ravine where the driver's pickup truck plowed into a concrete border, a sergeant said this weekend.

The driver of the 2003 Chevrolet pickup was traveling north on Monte Vista Drive early Saturday when the vehicle veered to the right and headed into the ravine as it approached Bundy Canyon Road, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Linda Maria Hughes said.

"Near the intersection of Monte Vista the vehicle appears to have veered to the right into a ravine and struck a concrete border about 300 feet onto Bundy Canyon," she said.
