Pool Equipment Fire In Wildomar Leaves One Injured

The blaze was reported in the 33500 block of Sellers Road at 11:25 a.m. Monday.

A Monday morning fire in Wildomar reminds residents to take extra precaution when chemicals are nearby.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department is reporting that one person was transported to a local hospital today for breathing problems after helping douse the pool equipment fire in the 33500 block of Sellers Road that was reported at 11:25 a.m.

A neighbor who assisted in extinguishing the blaze, prior to firefighters arriving on scene, “was transported via ground ambulance with difficulty breathing,” the report stated.

Pool chemicals that were next to the equipment were partially burned, the report continued.

Cal Fire along with the Riverside County Fire Department Hazardous Materials team determined there was no threat to the community, according to the report.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation; no other injuries were reported. The victim’s name was not released by authorities.
