Prescribed Burn Scheduled Friday And Saturday On Camp Pendleton
Communities surrounding the base may notice smoke clouds during the burn.
The Camp Pendleton Fire Department is scheduled to conduct a seasonal hazard reduction burn Friday and Saturday in the Case Springs area of the base.
Case Springs is located near the Northeast boundary of the base. Communities surrounding the base may notice smoke clouds during the burn.
The purpose of the hazard reduction burn is to strengthen the recently renovated fire break that runs along this portion of the base, according to Camp Pendleton officials.
