Robber Dumps Getaway Car In Wildomar

A young victim was robbed, but he was able to catch the suspect's license plate number.

Police are seeking the public's help in finding a man who robbed an 18-year-old man early this morning and then dumped a stolen car in Wildomar.

The 18-year-old Temecula man was robbed around 1:15 a.m. today while walking near his home in the 30000 block of Galatina Street in Temecula. According to a police report, the victim was approached by a Hispanic male who brandished a gun and demanded valuables.

The young man complied, but, as the suspect pulled away in a red Ford Focus, he got the getaway car's license plate number and gave it to police, who later found the vehicle in the Wildomar area. Turns out the car was reported stolen earlier in the evening from the Temecula area.
