School Bus Breaks Down With 22 Onboard

The bus broke down on Canyon Hills Road, about a mile from the school, around 8 a.m., Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

More than 20 students were exposed to radiator fumes when a school bus broke down this morning near Canyon Lake Middle School, but none required treatment, a county fire spokeswoman said.

The bus broke down on Canyon Hills Road, about a mile from the school, around 8 a.m., Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

There were 22 students on board, she said. "When the bus transferred the students to another bus, they were exposed to radiator fluid steam from the broken-down bus,'' she said.
