UPDATE: Semi Jack-Knifes On 15 Freeway

The crash, reported at 7:49 a.m., was at the Winchester off-ramp.

UPDATE 12:46 p.m.: A jack-knifed semi on the southbound 15 Freeway in Temecula jammed traffic throughout Southwest Riverside County Wednesday.

The crash was reported at 7:49 a.m. at the Winchester off-ramp.

Traffic was backed up through Wildomar on the southbound 15 Freeway and several lanes were shut down at the crash scene. Traffic on the southbound 215 from Menifee to the split was also jammed.

All lanes on the 15 Freeway were finally reopened around 12:30 p.m.

At press time, a SigAlert remains in place until further notice for slowed traffic caused by the backup.

The California Highway Patrol has described injuries in the jack-knife incident as "minor."
