Six Arrested At Lake Elsinore DUI Checkpoint

In addition to the arrests, 16 vehicles were stored or impounded for 30 days and 26 unlicensed and suspended drivers were sent to court, the department reported.

Six people were arrested Saturday during a DUI checkpoint set up at Central Avenue and El Toro Road in Lake Elsinore.

According to the Lake Elsinore Police Department, which set up the checkpoint and made the arrests, the following people were nabbed for driving under the influence:

  • Cruz Castillo, 60, of Lake Elsinore
  • Roberto Segundo, 53,of Lake Elsinore
  • Policarpio Hernandez, 51, of Wildomar
  • Cesar Sandoval, 41, Perris
  • Cherie McMaster, 51, of Canyon Lake
  • Luis Torres, 35, of Pico Rivera

The department stated that 2,034 vehicles passed through Saturday’s checkpoint. Sixteen vehicles were stored or impounded for 30 days and 26 unlicensed and suspended drivers were sent to court, the department reported.

Lake Elsinore has no police . All deputies transferred every few years.no obligation to the community.

These are all what you would call "Functional Alcoholics" if not for this check point these older long time drinkers would probably never be cought. Statistics point out that most of them will keep drinking. Addiction is a sad disease in all its forms.
