An Elsinore High School student allegedly caught carrying a knife and drugs on campus was facing criminal charges today.
The suspect, whose identity was not released, was arrested Tuesday following an investigation by Riverside County sheriff's deputies, according to Sgt. Ken Chaffin.
He said a sheriff's deputy working security at campus located at 21800 Canyon Drive in Wildomar was informed that a juvenile was selling methamphetamine and marijuana on campus.
A search of the boy and his belongings turned up 2.8 grams of packaged meth and a switchblade, according to Chaffin.
The youth was arrested but later released to the custody of his parents.
According to Chaffin, the suspect was suspended and could face permanent expulsion.
