Suspect in Lake Elsinore Shooting Arrested

No injuries have been reported in the Saturday-afternoon shooting.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect Saturday in connection with a shooting in Lake Elsinore, a spokeswoman said.

Deputies swarmed a location in the 3600 block of Eisenhower Drive after receiving a call about shots fired shortly before 4:30 p.m., Riverside County sheriff’s Deputy Myling Bordeau said.

Deputies chased a suspect in the 3200 block of Machado Street and arrested him. The suspect’s identity was not immediately known, but officials said no one was hurt during the shooting.

The shooting, which Bordeau said is being treated as an assault with a deadly weapon case, is under investigation.
