Why do you even bother to post this??????? What a waste of time, not only does it lack any information about what happened but they are both minors, really is this all you got to report on?
Paul January 09, 2013 at 11:29 PM
@One Voice, you really should re-read the story. It clearly states the offender is 19 and not a minor.

A 19 year old is not a minor.

Not only is the 19 year old not a minor, a child under the age of 14 is involved. That can't even be construed as a peer relationship. A predator is a predator.

Several recent arrests for lewd acts on a child, including those of a 63 year old man and a Martial Arts instructor, registered sex offenders being arrested in local hotels, Teenagers preying on children...seems like there is no shortage of local predators.

Applicable here I Live in Lakeland Village, in the hills above Blackwel. I just went to Crimereports.com. A few interesting things. Between the High School on Riverside and Corydon there are currently listed 23 Registered Sex Offenders. Within ½ mile of my house there are 11! Within a ¼ mile from the High School on Riverside there are 8.. 6 within 1/4 mile of the Elementary school on Grand. These numbers are shocking to me for such a relatively small area. Ever wonder why? They get paroled to the 6 half way houses on this side of the lake and then stay here. It is one of my pet peeves for the area that I was not aware of when I moved from the beach to here last spring. It also explains the high crime rate overall. The reality is ..we, as law abiding citizens needs to take control of our neighborhoods. Get involved, neighborhood watch, cameras EVERYWHERE. Report ALL suspected gang activity, many people are on parole in the area and simple encounters with the law often gets their parole violated for various reason. See a crime, report it, graffiti in the neighborhood, or on your property, take a picture of it for the police and power wash it immediately, do not let it sit. 2800 PSI washers do the job for most graffiti removal. I have armed myself and my spouse since moving here, I also have a big dog. Cameras surround my property and catch everything within 2 houses on the street. All crime deterrents I though I would never need but am glad to have.

DB There is a Lakeland Village Neighborhood Association that you might want to get involved with. They meet on the third thursday at 7pm at the American Legion on Grand Ave. Maybe some neighbors would be interested too.

Barbara, thank you, I will check it out........

Yes, there is a nasty trailer park on Corydon which houses a number of sex offenders. There are neighborhoods and schools nearby. I get that they have to go somewhere, but this particular trailer park is really seedy and needs to be cleaned up. I'm not sure why the city of Elsinore hasn't looked at it for rehab or closure. Additionally, I'm not sure having them all in the same place is good for anyone.

I thought so too, Marshall. Maybe complain to the city of Elsinore and see what they say. Also, to DB, it seems they should have put that into disclosures when you bought your home. Forewarned is forearmed. We need to set up some neighborhood watches and be aware of where these people are.
