Thieves Collared For Using Bogus Credit Cards At Lake Elsinore Outlets

Police detained two of the suspects at the Nike store and the third alleged thief was spotted in the getaway vehicle in the west Outlets parking lot.

Three people were arrested Thursday night at the Lake Elsinore Outlets for making as many as 15 purchases at various stores using fraudulent credit cards, police are reporting today.

Police received a call Thursday shortly before 7:30 p.m. from Outlets security officers. They provided police dispatch with a vehicle description and license plate, according to a report from the Lake Elsinore Police Department.

Police detained two of the suspects at the Nike store and the third alleged thief was spotted in the getaway vehicle in the west Outlets parking lot.

The suspects were identified as:

  • Robert Clayton Redd, 31, from Los Angeles
  • Kenneth Marquice Cannon, 41, from Rialto
  • Shaeyauna Leniece Leagons, 20, from Pomona

The investigation revealed the three made fraudulent purchases totaling over several thousand dollars, according to the report.

“Numerous items of merchandise from the fraudulent credit card transactions were located and recovered,” the report stated.

All three suspects were arrested and booked into the Southwest Detention Center for commercial burglary, fraudulent use of a credit card, and conspiracy, according to the report.
