Three-Alarm Fire Guts Lake Elsinore Print Lab

UPDATE 8/31 at 2 p.m.: Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department reports that this morning's three-alarm fire at Lenticular Image LLC on Central Avenue was caused by a faulty battery charger.

ORIGINAL POST 8/31 at 3:09 a.m.: An early-morning three-alarm fire destroyed a Lake Elsinore business Wednesday, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department Captain Mike Smith.

Lenticular Image LLC, which operated out of a 5,000 square-foot suite inside a 20,000 square-foot industrial building at 570 Central Avenue, was gutted by the blaze, Smith said. Firefighters were able to save other suites in the building, but the extent of smoke and other damage is unknown.

During the blaze, flames could be seen coming through the building's rooftop.

According to its website, Lenticular Image LLC is a full-service lab that manufactures reflective and photographic lenticular (print) displays.

Fifteen engines and 63 firefighters battled the blaze, which was reported at 12:48 a.m. The fire was contained at approximately 1:32 a.m., but crews were expected to remain on scene through the night, Smith said.

No injuries were reported.

Central Avenue was closed between Collier Avenue and Pasadena Street, Smith reported.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
