Three Injured In Lake Elsinore Crash

The three were all in one vehicle that crashed into a tree on Riverside Drive and Robertson Street Saturday, sheriff's officials said.

Several people were injured -- at least one of them critically -- when a vehicle plowed into a tree Saturday.

The crash on Riverside Drive, near Robertson Street, was reported at 11:38 a.m., according to sheriff's Sgt. Peter Giannakakos.

The three people found inside the vehicle suffered injuries ranging from minor to life-threatening, Giannakakos said.

They were all taken to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, officials said.

Investigators could not immediately identify the driver of the vehicle and have concluded that the vehicle's operator may have run away from the crash scene, Giannakakos said.

Anyone with information on the crash or the driver is asked to call Lake Elsinore traffic officers at 951-245-3300.

I don't know where Robertson Street is, but I do know that trying to get out onto Riverside Drive from Gunnerson is a nightmare...and there have been many accidents there over the years....I wonder what it will take to get a traffic signal there?

Robertson is the next street towards Lakeside. It trees that were hit are just as you finish the the hill coming from 4 corners. The road has already straightened out some there. There is a street that someone could have pulled out in front of this car or they were just going too fast and lost control. I saw where this happened. The car was heading east from what I saw.
