Two-Car Crash on Central Ave. Ties Up Traffic

A car stopped near an intersection was slammed into by another car Saturday afternoon.

The westbound lanes of Central Avenue were blocked Saturday afternoon by a two-car crash, according to the Highway Patrol.

The crash near the intersection of Central Avenue and Rosetta Canyon Drive was reported at 12:24 p.m. An ambulance was dispatched to the crash but how many people were involved and their conditions were not released.

According to the CHP, a Dodge Stratus was at a stop when it was hit from behind by a Honda Civic. The Civic pushed the Stratus about 100 feet.

The CHP reported that the cars were towed and the roadway was clear by 1:27 p.m.

Lets face it! That whole debacle which begins at Cental and Collier through Central and Cambern is a debacle waiting to explode! While we are on the subject 74 is a deathtrap from Central to the Ortega highway! When will the current council realize this!
