Two Injured After Vehicle Flips in Canyon; Helicopter Assists in Rescue

A vehicle with three people crashed in rough terrain.

A vehicle flipped over in the canyons of Lake Elsinore Saturday, injuring two people who were flown out to a hospital, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Firefighters received a 911 call at 4:41 p.m. Saturday and went to Lindell Drive and Pondview Circle, an area Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said was deep in the canyons and usually accessible only to all-terrain vehicles.

Two of the three occupants inside the car were hoisted by helicopter and flown out to a hospital for treatment of moderate to minor injuries, Hendrickson said.
