'Plain Jane' Bandit Robs U.S. Bank In Wildomar

Witnesses have described the suspect as a Hispanic female, 5'3" to 5'5" tall, 150 to 170 pounds. She appears to be between 35 to 40 years old.

A woman dubbed the "Plain Jane" bandit has hit five Southland banks in recent days, and Tuesday she made U.S. Bank in Wildomar her sixth target.

At 5:20 p.m., the woman robbed the U.S. Bank located inside the Albertsons grocery store, 23893 Clinton Keith Road, according to the FBI.

During her holdup, she used a written and verbal demand and indicated that someone, possibly an accomplice, was waiting for her outside the bank, according to the FBI.

The woman got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

"No accomplice was seen," said FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller.

No injuries were reported in today's holdup.

When local police arrived on scene, they cordoned off the bank location, but customers were allowed in and out of Albertsons to shop.

Today's robbery is the sixth for the Plain Jane bandit in less than two weeks, and the last four holdups have occurred within 24 hours of each other. Several hours before today's heist, she hit the U.S. Bank located at 5470 Beach Blvd. in the city of Buena Park. On Monday she was linked to two holdups in Moreno Valley.

The suspect has been linked to all of the following robberies:

  • 7/12/12: U.S. Bank, 13372 E. Telegraph Rd. in Santa Fe Springs
  • 7/19/12: U.S. Bank, 13525 Whitter Blvd. in Whittier
  • 7/23/12: Chase, 14425 Moreno Beach Blvd. in Moreno Valley
  • 7/23/12: U.S. Bank, 12721 Moreno Beach Blvd. in Moreno Valley
  • 7/24/12: U.S. Bank, 5470 Beach Blvd. in Buena Park
  • 7/24/12: U.S. Bank, 23893 Clinton Keith Road in Wildomar

The FBI and law enforcement officers in nearby Buena Park, Whittier, Moreno Valley -- and now Wildomar -- are asking for the public's help in identifying the robber.

Witnesses have described the suspect as a Hispanic female, 5'3" to 5'5" tall, 150 to 170 pounds. She appears to be between 35 to 40 years old and is possibly driving a four-door silver vehicle with a sunroof, according to authorities. (See attached collage of surveillance photos of the suspect.)

According to the FBI, a witness to one of the earlier robberies said the suspect’s appearance was described as that of a “plain jane.”  Witnesses have described a possible scar below or next to her right eye, as well as a possible tattoo on her right shoulder area.

Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is urged to contact their nearest FBI office or dial 9-1-1.

There are no inside pictures except those that are credited to the FBI, I'm pretty sure they can do what they need to to catch her. (Several images of the bandit from today's robbery in Wildomar. Credit FBI )

It's just a matter of time until she's caught with all these pictures out. I hope she's enjoying her temporary freedom because it's going to end soon.

Sounds and looks alot like this bitch i knew...Her name is Danielle Trevino...shes hespanic....in her late 30s...ugly as shit and had a scar on her face in the same place..only shes too stupid to pull something like this off! Shes more of the type to sell drugs and beat her kids....literally...and no one had ever done shit to stop her...then again maybe this is her! She has admitted to stealing from banks before....something someone should look into dont u think?? She lives in Lake Elsinore with her "brothers" Anthony and Toni.......
Jason EHS '99 July 25, 2012 at 05:27 pm
Looks like she prefers US banks. Possibly current or former employee that knows security prcedures and schedules. Or a current or former customer that is mad. If i was investigators, id look into both of those possibilities.
Another thing i noticed, shes working from north to south. LA, Riverside and orange counties. Id guess cities of temecula and or fallbrook would be her next targets.
Cat July 25, 2012 at 05:33 pm
...maybe she's on her way back home?
andy July 25, 2012 at 05:38 pm
I'm pretty sure they use computer face mapping to identify bank robbers nowadays. If she has a DL then she will be identified and caught.
Richard July 25, 2012 at 09:59 pm
No weapon and she has robbed 6 times. Somebody is waiting outside?
Diana July 25, 2012 at 10:51 pm
She is Bonnie without Clyde, tee hee, what an idiot does she not know that every bank she robs her picture is plastered all over it, you can't fix stupid, she will be going to the jail house for a very long time.
Reverend Smith July 26, 2012 at 01:27 am
What a joke it is that banks just roll over whenever someone hands over a note demanding all the cash. They ought to at least demand a gun be brandished. People like this robber ought to have an RFID chip and a GPS tracker installed deep within their brain - so it could never be removed without killing her. Then detectors would alert banks every time she approaches within 50 yards.
Cat July 26, 2012 at 01:33 am
I think I saw that movie! :~)
TheTruth July 26, 2012 at 06:48 pm
Diana well she'll only go to j ail if she's caught right. If she's smart she'll stop while she's officially ahead..
Diana July 26, 2012 at 07:30 pm
Actually if she is smart she will take the money she has robbed to Mexico and live like a Queen, a win, win for everyone then we the taxpayers won't have to support her for the rest of her life. Just sayin
Anon July 26, 2012 at 07:59 pm
Dont most of these banks have glass separating the teller from the customer? I mean, what exactly can she do to them if they dont give her the money? Sort of a no brainer.
Cat July 26, 2012 at 08:27 pm
...if she were smart, she wouldn't even be robbing banks......jes sayin!
Vince July 27, 2012 at 03:27 am
Aaaaaa....well, the idea is to get a robber GONE, and away from the bank before they can pull a gun, set off a bomb etc, and then potentially hurt people...So all's a robber really needs is a pencil and a piece of paper to write their note on, to then simply hand the note over to the teller, and voila, wait for the cash....There will be absolutely NO argument by the teller...Fact is, a typical haul for a hit and run, ONE teller robbery like this is usually in the coupla 3 thousand dollar range (or less even), since a teller's drawer doesn't have much more that that TO get robbed of, as a rule---although there are exceptiions from time to time to that "rule", where there can be several thousand bucks more---so it is sorta like rolling the dice as to how much can be gotten in a robbery like this, from any given teller.
A bank robber who HAS a gun, even without discharging, or threatneing someone with it is looking at 25 years, straight up...and IF they cap a round off, even into the ceiling to show they are rough, tough, and mean business, then they can catch a Life Sentence. For MY money (pun intended!) robbing banks is a moron's game, and that is why they get caught sooner or later---"Operative Word" there: MORON....Hell, a much easier form of "robbery" is to become a politician, and then folks will give ya money (campaign contributions and "perks" that ya ain't 'posed to get)) to "rob" other folks, who in turn often say THANKS after ya "rob" 'em...
Cat July 27, 2012 at 03:33 am
Couldn't have been said any better than that! :~)
Vince July 27, 2012 at 11:28 am
And a "funny thing" is--- from what I've been told by a "reformed", and done his time (9 years) EX bank robber, is that...Across the border, Mexican Banks WILL take BADLY dye pack stained U.S. Currency in exchange for Peso's... the Peso's are taken back across into the U.S., where they are then converted into CLEAN U.S. dollars,,,and The U.S. pretty much has to accept damaged, or stained U.S. paper money from Mexican Banks, and make 'em good in fresh currency...no questions asked per say.
If you pay attention to "paper money" going through your wallet or purse on a daily basis, you will notice that there are bills from time to time with "red stains" along the edges that had been in a dye pack explosion, yet were not stained so badly to be removed from circulation. I sold a Porsche 911 to a fella a coupla 4 or 5 years back, and he brought ALL hundred dollar bills, and trust me, there were stacks of them...And as I counted through the BANK BANDED bundles, I noticed a veritable crapload of red dye on many of the bill edges...and it sorta made me nighty nervous as I thought that possibly this guy had robbed a bank, got some bands, and made up his own "official looking" banded bundles. So I went into the bathroom and called my buddy's wife (a manager at a brand name bank) on my cell, and she told me that they will re-circulate bills that have "edge stains", and even some with tiny spots of dye in the "field" of the bill...sorta interesting, eh?

Somewhere deep in the General Plan Guidelines are references to how often both the plans and theRead More various studies that support the General Plan EIR should be updated. If you think about the rapid growth Riverside County has experienced over the last couple of decades, it is just plain good common sense to require these updates if the document is to remain serviceable. 2003 versions are now 10 years old, and many of the supporting studies in the EIR are even older. It's bad enough when a city or county is forced to work with an old plan, but it is far worse not to have adopted any plan at all. It's much like getting into the car without any sense of direction - let alone a map or GPS.

Maybe when the week is over they can give you an answer... "There will be more deputies onRead More patrol in Lake Elsinore during the week of June 17-23, a sheriff’s sergeant is reporting. The beefed up patrols come as Lake Elsinore readies for increased summertime traffic. “As part of the city of Lake Elsinore's commitment to public safety the Lake Elsinore Police Department will be deploying additional units to enforce distracted driving, seatbelt violators, drinking and driving, as well as other traffic laws, the week of June 17-23,” according to a news release from Sgt. Peter Giannakakos, who serves out of the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station."

Rose, we've had five years of having celebrations large and small with all the trappings ofRead More city-hood that Bridgette Moore could conjure up - right down to spending money the city didn't have to purchase monogrammed M&M. I suggest it's time to ring the bell and then get back to the real work of running the city. That would include doing the essential foundational work that has been skipped over in favor of window dressing and nonsense for the first five years.

To be clear, Supervisor Jeffries is not yet in support of charging for parking at the hospital, butRead More supported Supervisor Stone's request to have it evaluated, and is willing to consider it based on the results. In his quotes that day he mentioned that when Kaiser started charging for their new structure, they almost immediately changed their mind because the response was so negative. Supervisor Jeffries' main interest in supporting a study of all the county's parking facilities was to determine whether we could save money on the parking structures we already charge for by going to an automated system, rather than staffing it full time with multiple county employees. We have been told that we are actually losing money on the fees we collect for parking, and if that is true, we want to either switch to a cheaper collection system or eliminate the fees entirely.
Chris Twining June 13, 2013 at 12:55 am
Let's hope not. Charging for parking, especially at a hospital, is disgusting to say the least. IRead More got an idea. Let's see if just one elected official can so SOMETHING!!! other than sitting around trying to figure out more and more ways to separate us from our money. Do you have a clue as to what's going on around you? Do you get out of bed in the morning? turn on the TV? go outside? You are 10 years too late. That kind of thing from elected politicians is over. Stop trying to raise money. There are so many things out there you could be doing to make a good name for yourself, and 99% of those things involve cutting spending. Get to the bottom of some things. Imagine how people would react to that. They would swarm at your feet and hold you in high regard. And if you ever find yourself in the hospital, I will gladly come visit you as long as I dont have to pay to park.
