Underage Trio Arrested for Vandalizing Clubhouse, Cars in Canyon Lake

The suspects used black paint to damage "homes, vehicles and street signs (on which) racial slurs and vulgar words" were painted, a sheriff's official said.

Three juveniles allegedly went on a vandalism spree in the gated community of Canyon Lake, spray-painting homes, vehicles and street signs with racial epithets and setting a fire on the grounds of the country club, authorities said Thursday.

The boys, whose identities were not released, were arrested following a joint investigation by Riverside County sheriff's deputies and Cal Fire personnel, said Sgt. Glenn Williams.

He said the vandalism occurred along Cove View Street on Tuesday night, while a "small fire" was set at the Canyon Lake Clubhouse earlier.
