Wildomar Crash May Have Been Intentional

A crash on the northbound 15 Freeway at the Baxter Road offramp in Wildomar left one person with moderate injuries and it may have been intentional.

According to California Highway Patrol dispatch reports, the solo-vehicle crash reported at 8:37 a.m. involving a white van caused a light pole to be knocked down and wires were exposed.

The sole crash victim was transported to an area hospital after being trapped and subsequently rescued from the vehicle, according to a report from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

According to the CHP dispatch, the van did catch fire The CHP dispatch also indicated the crash may have been intentional with the victim having reported being depressed but not on any medications.

Caltrans was contacted to repair the pole, according to the CHP.
