Wildomar Man Killed In Morning Crash

Keith Westhaver, 28, died on the scene in Phelan.

The San Bernardino Coroner’s Office is reporting that a Wildomar resident was killed this morning on State Highway 138 in Phelan.

Keith Westhaver, 28, died on the scene after the 2005 Honda motorcycle he was riding crashed into a 2004 Ford Expedition sometime around 8:12 a.m., the coroner reported Tuesday afternoon.

According to the coroner report, the Expedition made a U-turn in front of Westhaver, who was traveling westbound on the 138, a half-mile west of the I-15.

The motorcycle struck the Expedition’s passenger door, causing Westhaver, who was wearing a helmet, to be ejected from the bike, the coroner reported.

Westhaver was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no word on the condition of the Expedition passenger(s).

The coroner reports that CHP is investigating the accident.
