Wildomar Men Nabbed in Murrieta Burglary

Two suspects who allegedly pried open the back door of Furniture Superstore Wednesday night were found hiding inside, while a third was suspected of acting as lookout, police said.

Three men suspected of breaking into a Murrieta furniture store Wednesday night were quickly apprehended by police, officials said.

Police were alerted to the break-in at about 9:49 p.m. Wednesday when the business alarm at , 25130 Madison Ave., was triggered,  Murrieta police Sgt. Matt Henry stated in a news release.

Officers searching the building allegedly found Wildomar residents David Aaron Cowan, 22, and Alexander Jack Brandel, 23, hiding in a back room inside the business, according to Henry.

Their roommate, Daniel Dana, 21, was also taken into custody when officers went to a home in the 23000 block of Cannery Road in Wildomar.

"While speaking with Dana, he admitted to conspiring with Cowan and Brandel to commit the burglary and stated his role was to remain outside and be the 'look-out,'" Henry said. "It was discovered Dana fled the scene once officers arrived."

No property was taken, police said.

Cowan, Brandel and Dana were booked into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy to commit a felony.

All were being held in lieu of $5,000 bail each Thursday, according to sheriff's jail records, pending a court appearance Friday.
