When police made a call Tuesday to the 32900 block of Lakeview Terrace in Wildomar regarding an alleged wanted felon at the location, they ended up finding their suspect and a second one.
Officers from the Wildomar Police Department arrived at the location at approximately 9 p.m. They were looking for Craig Armstrong, 53, who was wanted on suspicion of burglary, according to a news release from Sgt. David Cardoza.
Police found their man and arrested him.
At the location they also found Richard Hoenig, 54.
“A records check revealed that Hoenig was on formal probation with search terms for narcotic possession. Additionally, Hoenig was identified as a sex offender, who had failed to register as required by the California Department of Justice, Sex Offender Tracking program,” according to Cardoza’s report.
“A probation search of Hoenig was conducted, and he had methamphetamine in his possession,” Cardoza continued. “Hoenig was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, failure to register as a sex offender, and violation of probation and was transported to the Southwest Detention Center.”
