Wildomar Traffic Stop Leads to Meth, Fireworks Discovery

A parolee remained behind bars Saturday following his arrest during a traffic stop in Wildomar, records showed.

A deputy on patrol early Friday pulled over the driver of a Kia Rio in the 22100 block of Bundy Canyon Road for a vehicle code violation. A records check showed the driver was on probation for a drug-related offense and that the passenger was wanted on a warrant, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. David Cardoza said.

Methamphetamine and a mortar-type firework were found inside the car. The firework required members of a sheriff's bomb squad to remove it, Cardoza said.
