UPDATE: Man, Woman, 13-Year-Old Arrested In Wildomar Homicide

Summer Sharmaine Stephens, who turned 38 today, was booked into the county jail on suspicion of murder, officials said. Anthony Garcia, 32, was booked on suspicion of disorderly conduct but will face a murder charge, officials said.

This article was updated at 3 p.m. to include information that two others were arrested, one of them a 13-year-old.

An assault call in Wildomar earlier this week led to the discovery of a dead man and the subsequent arrest of a woman in connection with the death, now ruled a homicide.

The man -- whose identity has not yet been released by authorities -- was found about 6:35 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Mariposa and Mission Trail roads, by Wildomar station deputies called to investigate an assault with a deadly weapon, sheriff's officials told Patch.

Summer Sharmaine Stephens, who turned 38 today, was booked into the county jail on suspicion of murder and disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

She remained behind bars on no bail, pending a court appearance Friday.

Anthony Albert Garcia, 32, also of Wildomar was arrested during the investigation on suspicion of disorderly conduct while under the influence of drugs or alcohol but since has been implicated in the murder, officials said.

A third suspect -- a 13-year-old, gender undisclosed -- has also been arrested but the has not been released. It will be up to the District Attorney whether to try the child as an adult.

im glad the fence is up, if i lived next door, i would feel threaten with who knows what is next door, you cant allow scum like that simply move in, maybe the REAL owners of that property can do something, since i know the only reason the fence was put up was because the police contacted them and told them what happened, people need to be held liabile for not careing about the neighborhood..

Methamphetamines and alcohol is a surefire route to a "wet brain"

Actually, the victim has a daughter. And an uncle. Otherwise he had no one but a few friends who loved him. There is a family who took him in and tried to help him with his alcoholism but the alcoholism won. He was loved and will be missed. By the way, the victims name is Steve. And regardless what path he whose to take in life, he was a human being and didn't deserve to die the way he did.

Not true I went over there twice trying to help my best friends little brother, I have a full time job and my own home, your so called "trash" are people too with families and demons of their own, I was too late for my friends brother as he ended up in jail again, but I am glad he got busted for a petty crime before this happened. There are people who grew up here that did not end up addicts but still care about there friends and family that did. I wish they would have been arrested for under the influence or theft before this sad situation occurred, and shame on the cops for not doing so...

It is not Wildomar, or at least that is what I have been told I Live behind another vacant property on Mission trail to the north of olive, I called Wildomar for the road issues on Crescent, but no response from Wildomar in regards to the Vacant vandalized home, I am told that is Lake Elsinore issue. Who should we be calling, does anyone have any suggestions as the same situation is occurring not even a mile south on Mission trail.

social change happens when folks come together (: Mom of 4 I am all in on community watch, I can help but after so many recent happenings I am getting my family out of here and heading to Texas within the next 4 weeks,in the mean time I have been in contact with Wildomar multiple times in regards to another vacant vandalized home on mission trail in front of my home, to no resolve ):

The cops are not there to rehabilitate your friends. They are there for target practice!
Teller of Truth September 22, 2012 at 09:35 PM
But Marfa won't pay her taxes so there is a huge reduction in the police force.
Teller of Truth September 22, 2012 at 09:36 PM
If they moved away or got foreclosed upon, why should they care about it now? Are you sure the city or the bank didn't put that fence up?
Teller of Truth September 22, 2012 at 09:44 PM
Regardless of any one familys good intentions on helping an alcoholic, it is way beyond what a family can do. Alcoholics require PROFESSIONAL treatments & a drying out period. Of course of bunch of well intended interventions aren't going to work. Probably made things worse cause then the guy would only be reminded of what he didn't & couldn't have. I think meddling should only be left up to the PROS!

Happy belated birthday Summer Sharmaine Stephens. An all-expense paid stay at hotel California with full room service, bars in every room, 24 hour security, room with a view of the sprawling grounds, and (hopefully) lifetime accommodations.
Constant Comment September 23, 2012 at 09:00 PM
@Trisha, "He needs to get help...but you can't help no one they need to help themselves." ?? So which is it? Its admirable that you want to say nice things about your brother, but "good people" don't steal, etc....you shouldn't make excuses for someone that obviously needs help. }~)

@Teller of truth- you seriously need to keep your opinions to yourself. You have no idea how snobby you sound. Know ALL the facts before you speak and especially before you judge. Steve WAS receiving professional help, but where do you think he was going to live while receiving treatment. That's where my family stepped in. The story takes place over about 12 years time and honestly it's none of your business. So you go ahead and sit over there on your high horse and judge everyone that you feel is beneath you. You're forgetting the big picture here, he died at someone else's hand. Like I said, know the facts before you speak!
Teller of Truth September 24, 2012 at 03:42 PM
@Mollie, first of all this is a comments section. If you don't want to hear other peoples opinions, don't put your dirty laundry out there. No body asked you to. No one has to be a judge to have heard the same story, time after time. This one certainly is not new. It slays me when some "innocent, poor, he was a good guy, he is just misunderstood, etc...." relative comes on here & tries to defend someone. Happens all the time. Your story is not unique. Yes people do sound snobby that tell the TRUTH, especially when all the uneducated people don't want to hear it. You say he died from someone elses hand? Not really. Wouldn't you say that his alcoholism put him there in the first place. My statement still stands. If you can't handle peoples statements, then simply don't post.

You are 100% correct my friend. Great point actually. Do speed if you want. Do booze if you want. Do them both and you are screwed.
Lakelife September 26, 2012 at 02:36 AM
Trisha ...i commend you for your bravery to stand by your brothers side..but your brother was a drunk and im betting he got the gash on his head from falling and hitting the concrete. Check and see...he has been pealed from the pavement by the paramedics ,the neighors called because he was bleeding from his head from falling on the ground. Did you know that? And how desparate is ur brother for friends that the only available "friends" are juvenilles. Why didnt he send the 13yr old back home.? Seriously ask ur brother wtf was he thinking hanging out with KIDS!!! or was he getting kids to steal booze with the promise to share.?? And if you knew he was letting kids hang out with him, why didnt YOU tell him to stop. And to the people who saw kids hanging at this house...did we foget there is CPS... i lived across the street from an abandon home and the minute i saw children or any minor, i called CPS and they came the next day! they have plenty of staff. May this be a lesson to all ....

@Grkgodss--WOW.another one who thinks they know everything. The family doesn't know who you are at all and how you claim to know this info you posted. You say he did drugs...did you see this happening?? In fact, the family wants to know that if you were witness to any crimes done by Matthew, why didn't you report it and go to the grandmother and tell her. That's right you don't know where she lives or her phone number. A life could have been saved if people just did the right thing and speak up before not afterwards!!!
THE REAL Anita Drink September 27, 2012 at 06:34 PM
The 13-year old "lies, steals and sneaks out of the house on a regular basis. He got expelled from school for stealing his principal’s wallet" Read more about what his own Grandmother has to say about Matthew and his brother Zachary Warner on this PE article: http://www.pe.com/local-news/riverside-county/wildomar/wildomar-headlines/20120926-wildomar-grandma-says-boy-13-not-a-monster.ece
Lakelife September 27, 2012 at 06:39 PM
Anita, really ...I get the paper thank you and the family provided this info for the Press Ent. So obviously they were aware of behavioral problems which Matthew and several measures were being taken to address this... but no where does the article say he's been arrested previously for violent crimes!!!..who the hell are you... oh its "I need a drink" ...so go drink and don't speak of what you have NO CLUE about.

It's not the years but rather the years of drinking booze and drugs that show on her face.
