An assault call in Wildomar earlier this week led to the discovery of a dead man and the subsequent arrest of a woman in connection with the death, now ruled a homicide.
The man -- whose identity has not yet been released by authorities -- was found about 6:35 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Mariposa and Mission Trail roads, by Wildomar station deputies called to investigate an assault with a deadly weapon, sheriff's officials told Patch.
Summer Sharmaine Stephens, who turned 38 today, was booked into the county jail on suspicion of murder and disorderly conduct while intoxicated.
She remained behind bars on no bail, pending a court appearance Friday.
Anthony Albert Garcia, 32, also of Wildomar was arrested during the investigation on suspicion of disorderly conduct while under the influence of drugs or alcohol but since has been implicated in the murder, officials said.
A third suspect -- a 13-year-old, gender undisclosed -- has also been arrested but the has not been released. It will be up to the District Attorney whether to try the child as an adult.
