Woman Robs Mini Mart With Toy Handgun

Porschia Jhonette Napalan, 34, of Hemet, was placed under arrest and booked at Southwest Detention Center for armed robbery.

A woman was arrested in Lake Elsinore tonight after she held up a Chevron Gas Station Mini Mart with a toy handgun.

Porschia Jhonette Napalan, 34, of Hemet, was placed under arrest and booked at Southwest Detention Center for armed robbery.

Napalan was nabbed after she walked into t, lifted her top to reveal a black handgun, and fled the store with merchandise, according to a report from Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. John Carlberg.

The store clerk called 911 and described the suspect as a black female. Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene at 6:49 p.m. and began searching the area for the woman.

It wasn’t long before deputies found her at Diamond Drive and Mission Trail with a black air-soft toy handgun in her purse, Sgt. Carlberg reported.

Napalan was also identified by the victim at the crime scene, the sergeant said.
