Motorists will be detoured off the 91 at 14th Street, taking side streets adjacent to the freeway until they're clear of the construction zone.
A1 11:45 p.m. Friday, the eastbound 91 will be shut down at Central for continued work on the rail bridge, according to Caltrans. The closure will be in effect until 5 a.m. Saturday.
Caltrans officials said the new crossing is one of several projects tied to the $232 million freeway expansion through downtown Riverside, where high- occupancy vehicle lanes are being added along a six-mile stretch. --City News Service
