A campaign kick-off reception for Lake Elsinore Mayor Pro Tem Bob Magee, who tentatively announced he is running for state assembly in 2012, has been scheduled July 14 at Callaway Vineyard & Winery located at 32720 Rancho California Road in Temecula.

Magee announced on his Facebook page that the $125 per person VIP reception begins at 5:30 p.m.; a $99 per person 6 p.m. reception follows. A $1,000 sponsorship is available for a table of eight, and tables of 10 can sponsor up to $3,900.

Last month, for a possible bid at the 66th District State Assembly seat currently held by Kevin Jeffries (R-Lake Elsinore). , 1st District. Supervisor Bob Buster currently holds the 1st District seat and is campaigning for re-election in 2012.

Magee has maintained he is waiting to see how state assembly district lines will be redrawn before he officially enters the race.
