Since his arrest in September 2009, Knight’s legal counsel has successfully argued for continuances in the case. This latest continuance was granted by Riverside Superior Court Judge Helios J. Hernandez on April 10. Knight remains free on bail.

The ostensible leader of the failed recall effort, Enelida Caron, turned state’s evidence against Knight last year and pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor charge of criminal conspiracy. She is scheduled to be sentenced April 19. --Mirna Alfonso contributed to this report.
