Fake Lake Elsinore Contractor Gets 4 Years in…

Daryl Hickman Recall Effort: You Decide

Deciding whether to sign a petition on the spot can be difficult, so attached is a copy of the document to read in detail.

This weekend at the Lake Elsinore Stater Bros, some shoppers will likely here these words at they enter and exit the store: “Would you like to sign our petition?”

The volunteer who grabs you in front of the market is working to unseat Lake Elsinore Mayor Pro Tem Daryl Hickman. If enough valid signatures are gathered on the petition, the issue will be put to Lake Elsinore registered voters to decide. ( to read more about it.)

Deciding whether to sign a petition on the spot can be difficult, so attached is a copy of the document to read in detail. It contains the argument for recalling the city councilman and his rebuttal, as well as the names of those seated on the “Committee to Recall Daryl Hickman.”

Volunteers will be on the street and will be going door-to-door in Lake Elsinore to continue their signature-gathering effort

Regardless of the outcome, getting rid of Daryl Hickman, Melissa Melendez & Peter Weber is and will continue to be in the best interest of elevating Lake Elsinore. All three with disregard for the wishes of the community at large once Weber was seated, terminated Bob Brady's contract who was steering the City of Lake Elsinore in the right direction. Given the experience with past City Managers, one would have to believe that theses three don't care what the community wants. Hickman threatened to cut off funding to the Lake Elsinore Chamber of Commerece, Melisa Melendez voted and participated as a conflict of interest in Redevelopment Area just like George Alongi who was convicted of the same exact offenses and Peter Weber who was appointed to finish a term (Not elected) colluded with the other two in opening Bob Brady's contract once APPOINTED to finish Amy Bhutta's term. These anti-business, self serving and corrupt officials need to be ousted from office in my opinion.

Having read the petition, I would not sign it. The time for choosing our representatives is on election day.

I am aware of at least one attempt to intimidate a potential candidate for city council if he/she does not sign the petition. The November election may not be about who is the best candidate, but who supports or opposes the recall. There appears to be no allowable middle ground for the recallers.... either you're with us or you're the enemy. Shame on you recallers.... can't free-thinking people make a choice not to get involved without fear of intimidation?

Maybe the reason half of the land annexed into the City over the last 30 or so years still sits vacant and undeveloped is because of council after council following the failed "tourism" concept instituted long ago by a bunch of City of Bell type crooks. Now they want to go against all LAFCO guidelines and annex more land to sit vacant. The roads are down right falling apart. When in doubt boot em out :)

Is it true that Michele Knight is closing down the Trevi Center in Lake Elsinore and opening up another bowling venue in Moreno Valley? Is it true the Manager of the new business in Moreno Valley is none other than Daryl Hickman? At least there is no criminal intent or conflict of interest like the conflict of interest Melendez has in owning property and voting in an RDA district. George Alongi was convicted for malfeasance for the exact same criminal act by a jury of his peers.

This sure sounds like the PATCH staff is supporting the recall petition which I find disturbing. Putting informtion out there for the public is good, supporting one side of the question is not.

So sad they the 3 blind mice were ABLE to intimidate ABLE. The threat from Hickman to cut funding of the Lake Elsinore Chamber did the trick but this only makes for a more clear cut case for recalling Hickman, ousting Weber in November and Melendez next year unless the DA does exactly what he did to George Alongi.

My guess is the trio has plans to entertain - give every dog and pony show to town carte blanche. We need a moritorium on high density and low income housing. We have more than our fair share of slum housing and future slum housing already.

I agree. I see no proof of any of the allegations. Just accusations. If you come to my door asking for my signature, you better have some proof to back you up.

This morning I saw Chris Hyland in front of Stater Bros getting signatures for the Recall of Daryl Hickman and no one had signed the petition except me. She did say before the June 5 election they had several signatures which means possibly people have lost interest until the forthcoming November election. I told her the only way she was going to get signatures and succeed was to get people to go door to door in their neighborhoods. I am sure people could add to the list of grounds for recall. While I was standing talking to Chris a man walked up and started expounding about law enforcement which he said Elsinore does not enough officers to take care of the City; Mello Roos of which he ranted on and on about costing him thousands of dollars for years and years; the lack of paving pothole streets; the firing of the City Manager which he felt was not justified by 3 councilmembers. In fact he went on and on with a great deal of dissatisfaction about our City. It was educational to hear what other citizens had to bring forth on how they felt about the City of Lake Elsinore. I suppose sitting outside the store listening to how some citizens feel about our city and leadership makes you wonder. Anyway I hope people will get out and get signatures for the Petition to recall Daryl Hickman, I know I am. Call Chris and get copiesof the Petition and go door to door and get those signatures WE NEED CHANGE IN THIS CITY.

I'm new to the area. I've been researching Daryl Hickman without success trying to find what I'm looking for. My questions are: 1. Is Chris Hyland liberal or conservative? 2. Is Daryl Hickman liberal or conservative? 3. Is this a witch hunt or is he truly destructive to the city? 4. What good things has he done? 5. What bad things has he done? 6. Does he have a criminal record? 7. Who agrees or disagrees with the allegations on the recall petition? Thanks.
