Female Residents Invited To No-Cost Self-Defense Workshop

The event takes place Jan. 25 from 1-3 p.m.

Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez, who represents the 67th District, is inviting female residents to a no-cost Women's Safety and Self-Defense Workshop. Below is the invitation. Melendez's district includes the communities of Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Murrieta, Menifee, Wildomar, and a portion of Hemet. It also includes the Riverside County unincorporated areas of Lakeland Village, Lake Mathews, Good Hope, Nuevo, and Winchester.

You never know when you may find yourself in a threatening situation.  Attend this course for a hands-on demonstration of helpful defense moves and learn about laws impacting women’s safety.


Guest Instructors:

  • Lt. Zachary Hall, Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station
  • Grand Master Darryl Vidal, creator of The Karate Kid’s “Crane” move

Parking is available to the north of the facility.

 

This workshop is open to women and girls 14 & older.
