June 5 Primary Election Results Certified: Lake Elsinore Candidates Still In The Running

Today the Riverside County Registrar of Voters office certified the and has forwarded them to the Board of Supervisors.

According to today’s certified results, the November runoff for Riverside County Supervisor, District 1, will be between incumbent Bob Buster and Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries (R-Lake Elsinore).
The race for the 67th State Assembly seat will pit Lake Elsinore City Councilwoman Melissa Melendez against Phil Paule, who serves as an aide to Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Vista). Both candidates are Republicans.
The bid for the 42nd Congressional seat will be between incumbent Ken Calvert (R-Hemet) and Michael Williamson (D), an attorney who represents the Riverside Sheriff's Association.
Recounts are still possible. By law, a request for a recount must be filed with the Registrar of Voters office within five days after election results are certified. The deadline to request is June 27. The cost of a recount is paid for by the requestor.
