Lake Elsinore City Manager's Annual Performance Evaluation Topic Of Special Meeting

The March 7 meeting located at 183 N. Main St. is open to the public.

The Lake Elsinore City Council will hold a special meeting March 7 at 7 p.m. to discuss the regularly scheduled annual performance evaluation of City Manager Bob Brady, it was announced today.

Under Brady’s employment agreement, he is reviewed annually by City Council during the month of February; the latest review by council took place Feb. 28 in closed session.

The March 7 special meeting was requested by a majority of city council members, Lake Elsinore City Clerk Virginia Bloom said.

According to agenda documents, “Following the performance review, the City Council may elect to take action with respect to the employment agreement.”

During a March 8, 2011 meeting, council members voted 3-2 to extend Brady’s employment contract to August 31, 2015. Council members Melissa Melendez and Daryl Hickman voted against the extension. to read more about that meeting; to read about a subsequent meeting in which citizens publicly expressed support for Brady.

Under the amended contract terms, Brady’s salary remained unchanged. He currently earns $185,000 annually and has served as city manager since 2005.

The March 7 meeting will be held at 183 N. Main St. in the Cultural Center.
