Lake Elsinore, Wildomar Officials Holding Open Houses

Riverside County Supervisor Kevin Jeffries and State Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez are holding open houses at their respective district offices.

First District Supervisor Kevin Jeffries and 67th District State Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez are hosting open houses at their respective offices and the public is invited to attend both events.

Jeffries and his staff will be hosting a public open house and ribbon cutting ceremony for his new Lake Elsinore District Office on Wednesday July 24th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

"Located at 31569 Canyon Estates Drive, Suite 113, just up the road from Railroad Canyon past the Holiday Inn Express, this new office will make it easier for residents of Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, Canyon Lake, and the surrounding unincorporated communities to come meet with the Supervisor and his staff, rather than having to travel to downtown Riverside," a statement from the supervisor's office read.

“As a Lakeland Village resident, I know it is inconvenient to have to drive down to the Riverside County Administrative Center to get county services, so this location in Lake Elsinore will allow those in the southern end of the 1st District to meet with me and my staff without having to spend two hours on the road to do so,” Jeffries said in the released statement.

The open house and ribbon cutting is being held in conjunction with the Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore, and Wildomar Chambers of Commerce, and will feature light refreshments and a variety of local elected officials coming through during the event.

Assemblywoman Melendez is also holding an open house this month. On Thursday July 11, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Melendez will welcome the public to her district office located at 41391 Kalmia St., Suite #220, in Murrieta.

The assemblywoman held her first open house at the facility in January. She was elected to the post last November after serving on the Lake Elsinore City Council. Her district office is the site of former Assemblyman Jeffries, who termed out of office last year and was elected in November to serve as Riverside County First District Supervisor.

Jeffries resides in Lakeland Village and Melendez in Lake Elsinore. Both officials represent Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, Lakeland Village, and other local jurisdictions.
