Non-Profits In Lake Elsinore And Wildomar Invited To Apply For Grant Money

Both cities are holding meetings to discuss allocation of their respective Community Development Block Grants.

Lake Elsinore and Wildomar non-profit organizations in need of grant money are being invited to apply for it.

Both cities are holding meetings to discuss allocation of their respective Community Development Block Grants.

On Sept. 5, representatives from Lake Elsinore-based organizations should plan to attend a 5 p.m. meeting at the Lake Elsinore Cultural Center, 183 N. Main Street. The meeting is mandatory for organizations wishing to apply for the 2013-14 program year. On Sept. 10, representatives from Wildomar-based organizations should plan to attend a 6:30 p.m. meeting at City Hall, 23873 Clinton Keith Road.

Application packages are also available at Wildomar City Hall or on the City’s website, www.cityofwildomar.org, and are due at City Hall by 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012.

“To be eligible, a program must primarily benefit targeted groups within the City,” according to Paula Willette, Wildomar community services manager. “We will be looking at projects with a specific benefit to the City.”  

Grants are not made to individuals.
