Nov. 6 Election Results Certified: Wildomar Gets Parks, Kevin Jeffries To Represent First District
The results are now certified; the deadline to request a recount is Dec. 3.
The Riverside County Registrar of Voters certified the results of the Nov. 6 election at 3:17 p.m. Monday, it was announced a short time ago.
The certified results have now been forwarded to the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, and requests for recounts are still possible.
Several close races were watched in Lake Elsinore and Wildomar, including the contest for First District Riverside County Supervisor, which went to Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries, and Wildomar's Measure Z, which passed with the necessary two-thirds majority.

Jeffries lead over incumbent Supervisor Bob Buster was 1,273 votes. Measure Z received 7,056 "yes" votes compared to 3,231 "no" votes.

By law, a request for a recount must be filed with the Registrar of Voters office within five days after election results are certified, according to the Registrar's office. The deadline to request a recount is Dec. 3. The cost of a recount is paid for by the requestor.
