Supervisor Jeffries Questions Latest Homeless Counts

First District Supervisor Kevin Jeffries is worried the latest homeless counts in the region may be inaccurate.

Jeffries, who represents the cities of Lake Elsinore and Wildomar, among others, thinks the counts may have missed some homeless people, particularly in his hometown of Lakeland Village.

“I don’t want to be too critical because these I’m sure people did the best they could with the resources they have,” Jeffries told the Press-Enterprise. “But when you have such an undercount and you need state and federal resources to help with the homeless crisis that’s out there, an undercount puts us at a disadvantage.”
