Tuscany Hills To Host Candidates' Forum

The April 12 67th State Assembly District candidates' forum is sponsored by the Lake Elsinore Citizens Committee and will be moderated by Kim Cousins, president of the Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Candidates seeking to represent Lake Elsinore and Wildomar in Sacramento will be discussing the issues next week during a candidates’ forum sponsored by the Lake Elsinore Citizens Committee.

The 7 p.m. April 12 event to be held at the Tuscany Hills Recreation Center located at 75 Summerhill Drive in Lake Elsinore will see 67th State Assembly District candidates William T. Akana (R-Winchester), , Bob Magee (R-Lake Elsinore), and Phil Paule (R-French Valley) take questions from forum moderator Kim Cousins, president of the Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce, according to Lake Elsinore Citizens Committee member Donna Franson.

, also a 67th District candidate, will be out of town during the April 12 event, Franson said.

Both Melendez and Magee currently serve on the Lake Elsinore City Council. Dickson is a Murrieta Valley Unified School District board member; Paule serves as an aide to Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Vista); and Akana is an educator, according to the Riverside County Registrar of Voters.

The April 12 forum is open to all residents in the 67th District. (See attached map to view the 67th State Assembly District.)

The Lake Elsinore Citizens Committee was organized in 2005 and is a non-profit /non-political committee, according to Franson. 

“Our purpose is to keep residents of Lake Elsinore informed on issues regarding the city, county, or state,” Franson said.
