Issa is ramping up for next week's congressional hearing into the alleged spending waste.

Monday’s hearing before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will investigate GSA spending. The probe began earlier this month when the agency's inspector general reported an $823,000 spending spree at a Las Vegas event.

Issa is the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chair.

The Associated Press reported Friday that a General Services Administration executive will assert his right to remain silent at the hearing. The Associated Press also reported that the official, Jeffrey Neely, could face a possible criminal investigation into spending allegations.
