Calvert beat his Democratic contender by winning 61.36 percent of the vote.

With a significant treasure trove of campaign donations and a history with voters, Rep. Ken Calvert (R-Hemet) handily defeated opponent Michael Williamson in the contest for the 42nd Congressional District.

Calvert beat the Democratic contender by winning 61.36 percent of the vote.

Calvert has long-served in the 44th Congressional District but under redistricting will represent the swath of area known as the 42nd (see map), which stretches from Eastvale south to area near Temecula.
