Wildomar Parks Meeting Scheduled Sept. 4

A meeting of the Wildomar Parks Subcommittee is scheduled Sept. 4 at 6:30 p.m. and the public is invited.

The open meeting will be held at City Hall, 23873 Clinton Keith Road.

The meeting agenda calls for an update on the parks, and more in-depth discussion of the Oct. 26 Great Day of Service to be held at the city’s three parks. On that date, the city is anticipating approximately 500 volunteers who will be helping to ready the parks for reopening.

Heritage and Windsong parks are tentatively scheduled to reopen at the beginning of December, and Marna O’Brien is slated for a March 1, 2014 reopening. The reason for the delay on the latter is due to reseeding of the park’s sports fields.

According to the Sept. 4 agenda, the two-person Parks Subcommittee made up of Wildomar Mayor Pro Tem Marsha Swanson and Wildomar City Councilwoman Bridgette Moore will be discussing a staff recommendation that the city match donor cash contributions for the parks.
