'Administrator Of The Year' Awarded To LEUSD Director

J.R. Rea, director, information technology services for the LEUSD, was honored as "Administrator of the Year" during the Celebrating Educators Luncheon at the Riverside Convention Center.

Teachers, principals, and school employees of the were honored Monday by the Riverside County Office of Education, and one of the ’s own was recognized.

J.R. Rea, director, information technology services for the LEUSD, was honored as “Administrator of the Year” during the Celebrating Educators Luncheon at the Riverside Convention Center.

“J.R. is extremely dedicated to bringing 21st century technology into the classroom to improve the educational process,” awards nominators wrote in a news release.

Rea has held his post with Lake Elsinore Unified since 2002 but has worked in education for 15 years --13 years as a classified administrator.

He was a systems administrator for the University of Wyoming and director of information technology for the Alvord Unified School District in Riverside prior to landing in Lake Elsinore.

He is a member of the California Educational Technology Professionals Association and the California Association of School Business Officials, where he chaired the Research and Development for Technology committee.
