This course teaches Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and relief of Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) for adult, child, and infant victims. After completion of this course, students will be able to:
Describe the links in the American Heart Association's "Chain of Survival"
Describe the steps of CPR for Adults, Children, and Infants
Describe the safe and accurate use of an AED
Students will be able to demonstrate the following skills using manikins:
Rescue breathing using mouth-to-mouth ventilation and mouth-to-barrier device ventilation
One-rescuer CPR for Adults, Children, and Infants
