The Tigers' Daniel Rodriguez also dazzled with 127 rushing yards and one touchdown in the second quarter.

With the Wolves set to score as the first-half ticked off in final seconds, the Tigers clogged up the middle and denied the visiting team. The standoff was necessitated by a 52-yard interception of an Alex Banda pass by King’s Aaron Hickman, who returned the ball to the Tiger's 3-yard line.

The Wolves made four attempts to punch it through, but were stymied at every go.

At halftime, it was Tigers on top, 14-0.

All King could muster in the second half was a third-quarter 23-yard field goal by Garrett Swanson. Seconds later, Stubbs made a gallant 60-yard run to make it a 21-3 game.

And Stubbs' fourth-quarter 34-yard TD jaunt capped the night.

Elsinore is now 2-0, while King is 0-2.

The Tigers play host to Pomona's Diamond Ranch next Friday night; King will host La Sierra.

In other games across the Lake Elsinore Unified School District, the Temescal Canyon Titans, who traveled this week, proved victorious with a 48-39 win over Tahquitz.

The Lakeside Lancers, who also traveled, fell to San Jacinto, 35-21.
