The honorees are Tracy Irvine of Ronald Reagan Elementary, Deborah Anderson of William Collier Elementary, and Brent Wigand of Elsinore Elementary.

The following is a press release from the Lake Elsinore Rotary Club:

Three LEUSD teachers were honored at the Lake Elsinore Rotary Club’s January Teacher of the Month Program on Wednesday, January 16. The honorees are Tracy Irvine of Ronald Reagan Elementary, Deborah Anderson of William Collier Elementary, and Brent Wigand of Elsinore Elementary.

Tracy Irvine is a Kindergarten teacher who is recognized by principal, Nori Chandler, as a well-organized and prepared teacher. She consistently meets her students' needs by taking time to  meet with each of her students and their parents to perform assessments. She wants to ensure that all of her students are starting off in the right direction and she is dedicated to their outcomes in preparation for their futures.

Deborah Anderson teaches fourth grade and is known to always be actively engaged with her students. Principal Dori Neal notes that Anderson performs many leadership roles at the school and mentors other 4th grade teachers.  She serves on the school leadership team and is the spelling bee coordinator.  Anderson loves to teach writing and is involved with "Tale of the Comet" writing program at William Collier Elementary.

Brent Wigand teaches special day class for first and third graders at Elsinore Elementary.  Principal Rita Post notes that Wigland’s high expectations keep the students focused and motivated to do their best throughout the school year. Wigland recognizes that the overcoming the needs of some students can be difficult, but the end results making teaching worthwhile.
