Lake Elsinore School Board May Cut 15 Positions

The positions were paid for with First 5 program funding, which has been hit by state funding cuts.

The Lake Elsinore Unified School District board will consider eliminating 15 positions related to First 5 programs that provide health care, education and child care services for infants, toddlers and their parents.

The issue will be addressed at tonight’s 6 p.m. regular district board meeting.

First 5 Riverside County reduced funding for its programs on April 13. The Lake Elsinore district stands to lose about $1.2 million in funds.
