LEUSD Students Show Off Their Speaking Skills

"It is great to see the level of competition we have within the District."

The Lake Elsinore Rotary Club held its annual Four Way Speech Contest on April 9 at Ortega High School and awarded three Lake Elsinore Unified School District students. The competition which allows students to show off their public speaking skills featured students from all three LEUSD high schools. The competition requires the students to incorporate the Rotary’s moral code for personal and business ethics, known as the “Four Way Test” into their speech.

This year’s winners included Zinab Alsadek of Elsinore High School, Quentin Ronan of Lakeside High School and Andrew James of Lakeside High School. All three students received recognition and a monetary prize for their speeches at Wednesday’s Rotary club meeting. Alsadek will be moving on the District 5330 Rotary competition where she will compete with students from around the region.

“It is great to see the level of competition we have within the District. We are proud of our speakers, and look forward to seeing Zinab represent Lake Elsinore at the District level,” said Ron Toth, Four Way Test Speech Coordinator for the Lake Elsinore Rotary Club.
