New Head Football Coach To Lead Lakeside Lancers

Andy Penwarden has been tapped to lead boys football at Lakeside High School.

The following is an advisory from the Lake Elsinore Unified School District:

Lakeside High School is proud to announce Lakeside’s own Andy Penwarden as the new head football coach.

Penwarden, who has been teaching and coaching at Lakeside since 2007, started his coaching career at Humboldt State University, where he was an assistant coach for three years. After that, he became the head coach at Arcata High School, located near Humboldt State.

From Arcata, Coach Penwarden moved to San Jose, where he led Willow Glen High School to two league championships in four years. He was twice named coach of the year, and was also selected to lead the 2006 South All-Star team in San Jose.
