Storm's "Thunder" Falls Ill at Murrieta School

The Thunder mascot from the Lake Elsinore Storm fell ill while at a Red Ribbon Week event at Cole Canyon Elementary School Friday.

The person who serves as "Thunder" the mascot for the Lake Elsinore Storm was out of the hospital and recovering Saturday from a seizure suffered during a Red Ribbon Week event at a Murrieta elementary school.

The incident occurred Friday morning, during the event at Cole Canyon Elementary School.

Thunder suffered a small seizure during the event, according to Chris Jones, general manager for Storm Baseball.

He was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was cleared medically and released, Jones told Patch.

It was not immediately clear whether Thunder collapsed in the view of the students.
