Sycamore Academy Collects More Than 2,000 Cans for H.O.P.E.

Thirty-four frozen turkeys were also donated to H.O.P.E., a local food bank for less fortunate families.

NOVEMBER 22, 2013: Twenty shopping carts lined the front of the charter school in Wildomar. A two-week food drive resulted in the collection of 2,102 cans of food and 34 frozen turkeys to help the local food bank, H.O.P.E., provide food to less fortunate families in the area.

The school-sponsored collection drive was quickly converted to a class competition of good will, with an average donation of more than six cans per student.

Ms. William’s class won the competition but the entire school community celebrated the good will and generosity of the Sycamore family.
