Tim Sheridan Earns Official Endorsement of California's Democratic Party

Tim Sheridan won the official endorsement of the California Democratic Party in his run for the Congressional seat in California’s 42nd District. The results were announced Sunday at the Los Angeles Convention Center, where an audience of over 3,000 delegates, officials and observers attended the 2014 California Democrats State Convention. When asked for his response, Sheridan said, “I am honored to be endorsed by my fellow California Democrats and credit the hard work of my Team, headed by Campaign Chair Gail Ferrell.”

Sheridan added, “When I’m elected, I will be responsive to the voters in my district – everyone, Democrats, Republicans and Independents.  I will live up to my campaign slogan ‘People First’.” In early February, Sheridan won the Pre-endorsement Conference vote with 94.7% approval against two other Democratic candidates.

Governor Jerry Brown, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco), and Attorney General Kamala Harris spoke at Convention, as did National Democratic leaders Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley and Representative Keith Ellison (D-Minn.).
